Francis Rice "Frank" TRAINOR

Nora and I were near neighbors of Frank & Peggy and for many years when we were able to walk along Hanks Hill Road we often encountered Frank riding his bike to and from campus. He would always have a witty remark. We also took his wood identification class that we enjoyed even though we didn't retain much of what we learned. We have a few of his carvings that will help us cherish his memory

wonderful neighbor and friend, frank helped me in 6th grade with a tree ID project. he also handled it well when he discovered i was cutting every 4 inch sapling off of his property for my never ending treehouse. he spotted the rotten yellow birch stumps that i slid over each stump. he also explained to me why his license plate was ALGAE, and finally wrote a great letter of recommendation for me to pursue my master's and teaching career. what a wonderful man to have known, thank you, kevin...
