Francis J. Waryas

I can echo the sentiments of Mr. Waryas former student; he was the teacher who took the time and had the patience to make sure I understood proper grammar completely. What a wonderful advantage those of us have who had Mr. Waryas as a teacher. My thoughts are with his family. He was a great man.

I was saddened to read about Mr. Waryas' passing. He was my 8th grade English teacher. He taught me everything and anything I know about grammar. At the time, I dreaded going to his classes - having to sit through 45 minutes of what is and what isn't a compound-complex sentence. Now, as an adult, I am forever grateful that he had such patience with a bunch of unruly teenagers. I credit him frequently for my ability to write with proper grammar!
