Francisco Antonio Colon affectionately known as "Cisco" was abruptly taken from us at the age of 40. He lived in West Valley City Utah. He was called home on Monday, June 23, 2014 In Salt Lake City Utah. Cisco was born on August 29, 1973 in Salt Lake City at the University of Utah Hospital. Cisco grew up in West Valley City Utah born to Linda O. Garcia. He was raised by Grandmother Rebecca M. Navarro aka "mom "and the only father he has ever known Richard J. Navarro aka "Dad or Pa Pa ". He has two biological sisters; Sabrina Munoz and Lisa Trujillo ( Manford ) four sisters which whom he was raised with; Ana Garcia ( Jose ) , Kathy Lobato ( Anthony ), Andrella Landa( Ernesto ), Melisa Garcia (Armando )two of which he called " aunt "and one brother/uncle who he was also raised with; Markco Navarro ( Trudy )He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends . He has many family/friends who he considers and calls "sis "or "bro", He has little cousins he considers nieces and nephews, He has aunts and friends parents that he called mom and dad. Each of which he had a very special place in his heart for but way too many to name one by one. (You all know who you all are.) Cisco had such a big heart and so much love to give. Once he let you in his heart you were there to stay. You were part of his familia whom he loved, adored and cherished. One person said "I can tell how much you love me by the hugs you give me "anyone who knows Cisco knows this to be so true. He had a very special hug he gave the ones he loved and he would squeeze so tight that you could feel all the love he had in every hug he gave. It was like he never wanted to let go yet remaining ever so tender and he always made sure to say just how much he loved you during the hug or just right after. When Cisco was growing up all he wanted was to love and be loved in return. When he would hear even the slightest bit of encouragement or praise, It was as though a there was a light switch that was flipped on and the light that blazed in him would beam from deep within and shine through while he smiled. Cisco's favorite time of the year was around the Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays, and he also enjoyed celebrating the many birthday parties thrown throughout the year since we have such a big family, he truly loved all reasons that brought the family together. When Cisco became old enough to be "dad's" helper at Christmas he took the role with joyful enthusiasm, by reading off the names on the presents and handing them out, it was like being able to do that, while being with family was in itself his Christmas gift. Cisco was a free spirit who treasured each day; joyfully being on the go, and eagerly ready for what adventures or misadventures come along. He enjoyed exploring his surroundings with youthful eyes. Some would describe him as "hard to keep up with "and "young at heart ". Without a doubt he followed his instincts not rules, for him it was curiosity over conformity. Once he seen the sky he just started walking no matter where it took him, Those times when he would just pop up out of nowhere just to stay for a minute . He was reminding you that he loves you, thinking about you, and you were on his mind. Cisco had always wanted to settle down and have children of his own one day. However he has made some long lasting loving friendships over the years. There are many who to this day he remains the best of friends with. He always made sure he looked at someone from the inside out. Never was he the type of person to look and judge by an outside appearance. He always got to know the person's heart. Those he loved the most were those that he was the toughest on. Many times he showed his love by using "tough love "he would eventually come around. His true love and passion was in art. He had the best hand drawings one has ever seen. His dream was to one day open his own tattoo shop so that he could show off his hard work and craftsmanship. He used the art of tattooing to express his unique talents. He had a reason for each one of the tattoos he had received. They were either in remembrance of an important person whom he wants to honor and show respect for. Or an event that took place in his life good or bad yet made him exactly the person he was. As he entered through the gates of haven he has finally reunited with his mother Linda Garcia, mom/grandma Rebecca Navarro and Aunt Caroline Trujillo. Although he was taken way too soon and will forever be missed there is comfort in knowing that his last day was spent doing what he loved to do best, living freely, while spending time with his family, loving everyone unconditionally through his words, actions and amazing hugs that can still be seen and felt today. In memory of Cisco for the love he gave us through his unflinching smile forever remaining contagious. Knowing that one day we will meet again and next time it will for eternity. Always in our mind and forever in our hearts
