The Perfect Daddy
When Frank Reisman was single, mountain climbing was his passion. The summer after the end of college, he hiked the Appalachian Trail alone from Maine to Pennsylvania, picking up dry food that his parents, George and Evie, mailed to him at post offices along the way.

After Mr. Reisman married, family was his focus. Every evening around 6:15 he returned home, where his wife, Gayle, and their two children, Kasey and Dillon, always waited for him to have dinner.

Living in Princeton, N.J., and working at Cantor Fitzgerald on the equities desk, Mr. Reisman, 41, was the perfect suburban daddy, his wife said. He coached Kasey's softball team and took Dillon to golf on the weekends. He taught them how to download music from the Internet and ferret out useful information. Because he left home before the children got up for school, he always sent them online messages from work.

On the morning of the attack, he phoned his wife, who happened to be out jogging. He reached his mom. "He said: 'I'll be fine. Don't panic, Mom. I love you,' " Evie Reisman said, as tears welled up in her eyes.

Not sure what to say?

I knew Frank from Camp Takajo in Maine when we were teens and did a fair amount of hiking and camping with him. I've never forgotten his humor, including his love for the Big Fig Newton. My sincere condolences to his family. May he always remain in our hearts.

I was just reminiscing with a friend about our commuter days. Frank was always a bright presence on the train. He was always full of good humor. He is truly missed.

It doesn't seem possible that it's been 15 years since that terrible day. Frank, I still think of you often, and pray that your family is doing well.

Still think of Frank and his family often, especially on this terrible anniversary...

I never meet you, but going to the WTC memorial I took a picture. In there, your name and a bird. I felt motivated to know who you were. After reading a litte bit I really feel sadness for your family and friends. However, the peace that inspired me the picture makes me remind that you and all others taken that day will live for ever.

Dear Frank,
It is hard to believe 12 years have gone by, your kids have grown to be so successful, you would be so proud. We think of you often and laugh about softball games and the fun we had having dinners at your house! Miss you and will never forget!!

Had to travel cross country today and thought about putting off for a day so I wouldn't be in the air on 9/11. Then I thought about Frank and booked the trip.

Another year goes by and the pain never fades.
