Frank Van Skiver Boyer

I am very sad to learn of Frank´s passing. He was a fellow member of Hudson Valley Haiku-Kai. My condolences to his family. He was a true poet and lover of language.

Frank... my colleague, mentor, fellow yogi-artist-poet, someone who's been in my life for twenty plus years You have given me so much inspiration for doing my own Foundation, for not giving up on art, teaching yoga or any of the things that truly have been important to me and who I am. Rest in Power. You have done SO much good in other people's lives...and you will live on in the countless students who took your classes, walked with you in museums...all of the folks that listened to...

My sympathies to Frank's family on his passing. Frank was such an interesting and talented person to know. I hope that Judy and Charles and his son Brendan in particular can be comforted by memories of the active and complex life that Frank lived and by his contributions to poetry, art and teaching. The Boyer family was an important foundation in the Carthage college story, first in Carthage, Illinois and after 1965, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It is sad to lose another member who knows and lived...
