Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear about Frank. I just learned about his death when my 2014 Christmas card was returned to me this September. We often carpooled on field trips with the Los Alamos Geological Society, and he was a great friend. May the love of friends and family you comfort you.

I'm sorry to hear of Frank's passing. I worked with him on the volcanics at Yucca Mountain. I learned a great deal of petrology from him.

Frank was a wonderful friend. I hadn't known he investigated tungsten and antimony but would have enjoyed talking with him about those experiences. His and Virginia's children can be so proud of their parents. Thanks for posting his obit.

I knew Frank for many years before he retired from the USGS. We were fortunate to have him return as an emeritus with the Yucca Mountain Project after his second career with the Los Alamos National Laboratory. John: I remember meeting you here during one of your visits from Sweden--must have been in the mid-90's.

I am sad to hear of Dr. Byers death, he was my scout master and father of one of my childhood friends and I always enjoyed talking and spending time with him. He told fascinating tales of watching the early nuclear bomb tests and I fondly remember that he walked to his office every morning.
