Miss you Dad

My experience as a son-in-law with Frank is one of friendship. I got the feeling that, even though he loved his girls with all his heart, he enjoyed having a man to tell his stories to. I loved hearing about his youth and his days as a sailor. 6 years ago, he took me out into the middle of the street on a sunny day and taught me how to use a sailor’s sextant. Dearest Dad, you will be missed. Your love for all of us was always felt. Your commitment to mom was a bond from the moment you met her. You will always be in our hearts. I see you everyday through Fran, Rose and all the grandkids. Rest in peace and know mom will always be taken care of with family and friends. Love you, Dad.

It is with a heavy heart that I have discovered the passing Mr. Calhoun, he was a favorite patient of mine here at MEDVAMC, one with whom no matter what the day was like that to meet with him would make my day just a bit brighter. I offer my sympathies to his wife and their family and thank Mr. Calhoun for his service to our country as a veteran. May he Rest in Peace.
