Not sure what to say?

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Capitani family. I was a teammate of Frank on that great HHS 1953 team and remember him as the best athlete in the school yet always humble about his abilities. May Frank rest in peace.
Frank Tapparo HHS '56

My sincere condolences go out to the Capitani family for their loss. Although I never was coached by Mr. Capitani, I'll always remember him calling me a "man" in 7th grade phys. ed. At the time I was about 4'7" tall and weighed in the neighborhood of 65 lbs. He had a way of making you feel good about yourself. He acknowledged your accomplishments and helped us all to grow, trademarks of a fine educator. He will be sorely missed.

Sincerest Condolences. Frank is the first person I remember when I think of people who have significantly influenced my life. No need to mention he was the greatest athlete I have personally known, it was the Quiet Man that made the difference. As an 8th grader in the new LD, Frank was my first phys ed teacher, then my coach and later a fraternity brother. He taught by example and you had to follow. He changed my life - while trying to decide what college to...

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Capitani family.

Coach Capitani was an exceptional teacher, coach, and role model for Lower Dauphin students and athletes. He was my football coach, basketball coach, and PE/Health Instructor during '60-'66. He taught us that winning resulted only from hard work, and challenged us to set high goals. Whenever LD graduates of my vintage gather, we fondly recall stories of how Coach "Cap" helped us grow as athletes and responsible citizens. He...

My thoughts and prayers to the entire Capitani family. I had connections to Frank from several directions, first met this great man through his nephew, Jim Martino when I ran track at Gettysburg. Then I learned my father-in-law, Charles "Chike" Heverly "57 played quarterback at Gettysburg when Frank was in the backfield. Then, small world that it is, I began my teaching career at Lower Dauphin HS. Coach Capitani was an impressive man in every way possible, in his presence you knew that he was...

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Capitani family in the passing of a Frank.

My Uncle Frank was a wonderful man and the type of father, friend or uncle that anyone would love to have. We will miss you very much and loved you very much.

On behalf of the Gettysburg College Football program I offer our condolences and prayers for your family. Frank Capitani was one of the GREATS in Gettysburg College Football history.
