Aunt Marie and family,
I'm so glad I was able to see all of you in May. Who knew his time was so short. We all know that he lived a full life, one in which he enjoyed entertaining. Whether it was a story, a joke, a blunder, he always got you smiling. That's what I remember most about him.
He wouldn't want everyone to be wearing long faces. I believe he told me this. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I'm sorry I was unable to attend, I hope you understand.
