Frank Steven Cusimano was born on November 15, 1952, in Birmingham, AL to Vincent and Mary Cusimano. Mr. Cusimano passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 after a courageous ten-year battle with prostate cancer. He was an active parishioner of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Montevallo, AL and attended Church of the Highlands with Jan. Mr. Cusimano attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB), and then worked for Hartz Mountain Corporation, followed by a career with Kellogg's Company. Throughout his life, Mr. Cusimano loved God, his family and friends, coaching softball and baseball, rock music and Alabama football. Mr. Cusimano was preceded in death by his parents and his aunt, Teresa Cusimano. Mr. Cusimano is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Jan Lauber Cusimano; his daughter, Kelly Allison Cusimano; his son and daughter-in-law, Chase and Katie Cusimano, the light of his life, granddaughter Caroline Cusimano; brothers, Samuel Cusimano and Vincent Cusimano Jr; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he loved dearly. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 11:30. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank the staff of the UAB hospital for their outstanding care of Mr. Cusimano. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be offered to Big Oak Ranch, www.bigoak.org; St Thomas Catholic Church, stthomascatholic.com; or Transformation Ministries, trministries.org.
