Frank J. DaRin, age 91, of Oxford passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on November 8, 2025. He was the loving husband of Joanne Hunt-DaRin. Frank was born in New Haven the son of the late Louis and Elyssa DaCorta DaRin. Frank was raised in Woodbridge and attended the University of Connecticut, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. He worked for Olin Firearms in New Haven prior to his retirement. A proud U.S. Army veteran, Frank served his country with honor and dedication. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by her children, Karen Thorpe and her husband James, Lisa Cafaro and Robert Cafaro and his wife Iris, grandchildren, Austen and Matthew Searles, Morgan and Brendan Machowski, Stephanie Matthai and her husband Nathan, and Sara Thorpe, his fur babies Bella and Charlie, and his caregivers, Nikki, Mike, Shay, Athena, Chrysandra, Karena, and Sara. Frank was predeceased by his first wife Marie D'Agnese DaRin.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. His funeral will then proceed to Our Lady of Assumption Church in Woodbridge for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 noon. Interment, with military honors, will immediately follow in Mt.
