Frank DeMarco Obituary

Service for Frank DeMarco, 80, Ormond Beach, who died at home Tuesday, July 26, 2005, will be 3 p.m. Saturday, July 30, at First United Methodist Church of Ormond Beach, 336 S. Halifax Dr. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today (Friday, July 29) at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, Ormond Beach. Mr. DeMarco was born in Detroit, Mich., spent World War II in the U.S. Coast Guard seeing action in many locales, and moved to this area in 1974 from Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of First United Methodist Church where he was an usher, and the Toastmasters. He continued working long after retirement age as an admissions representative for the National Training Heavy Equipment Operator School. Frank enjoyed watching football and sports on TV, keeping fit and playing poker with his poker pals. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Flora; two sons, Frank Joseph (Christine) DeMarco, Seattle, Wash., and John (Jenna) DeMarco, Melbourne; two daughters, Fran (James) Ciaccia, Strongsville, Ohio, and Jeanne (Daniel) Regler, Ormond Beach; brother, Fred (Linda), Birmingham, Ala.; six grandchildren, Karyn, Julie, Cristy, Alexandra, Laura and Olivia; great-grandson, Clint; special cousins, Mary Morasca and Carol (Tom) Fasone; and many other loving friends and relatives. He was preceded by his parents, Frank and Frances DeMarco; and three brothers, Louis, Robert and John. Mr. DeMarco is in the care and trust of Volusia Memorial, Ormond.
