I was pleased to serve with Frank on the Cobb County Historic Preservation Commission in the 1980s. The week Frank's obituary was published, the newspaper had an article about a new park and walking trail near Smyrna. The park was part of the Chattahoochee River Trail system and would feature the preserved remains of the Johnston River Line defenses from the Civil War era. Frank was a leader in the effort to preserve those fortifications from impending destruction by Bessemer Securities...
