Dearest Filbert Family;
You all have our deepest sympathy. The loss of a great man, who we will always miss and love. His heart was as big as he was tall.

My Dearest Godfather;
We all love you and will miss you so much. I thank you for being a loving and caring Godfather. That day your golden heart stopped, we know that Frankie came to take you home to Jesus. When he took your hand in his and said "Let's go Dad", I could just see your smile and tears of joy.

Johnny, Margie, Marrianne, Joey,Andy,Magan,I want to say to all of you that I am deeply sorry for the loss of your Father. I can still hear Johnny and Frankie saying that "Sunshine" was coming over. I know how hard this is for you all and it may bring you comfort in knowing that your Father is surely with the Lord. Try and remember the good things that you shared with him and cherish them memories especially. Life is a hard road to travel sometimes and we all make our own way but I am certain...

Dear Deb, Ronny and Megan,
Sonny loved each of you very much and you were very good to him. God was waiting for him on Sunday and Sonny will look out for you as you continue to travel through life.
Pray to him!!
God bless each of you, Aunt Catherine and Sr. Bea

To my family and their friends back home that weep for their Father, uncle, grandfather and friend. This is a man who did not permit life's setbacks hold him from moving on to care for others. He was always there if you needed him; even for just that little extra lift in your spirit with a smile, laugh, story, or a good joke. Therefore, we will cry for those memories of the need for love and friendship, but more importantly, he would care more if we would laugh and remember the good times...

To the Filbert Family,
I was always impressed by how much Sonny knew about life and people. The wisdom he possessed taught me far more than he probably knew.He had a heart that exceeded the confines of his body..."am I right or wrong?" I feel privileged to have enjoyed his friendship. Please reflect on his goodness at this time of loss.

I had the pleasure of knowing Sonny for over thirty years.He was a fine man.Be proud to be able to call him your father,husband.My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
