Gene was always friendly and social when we saw him at grandma's. One favorite memory happened at a family Christmas party where each family had to sing or act out a Christmas song. Grandpa, Grandma and Gene chose Jingle Bells. Grandpa was the reindeer pulling the sleigh, grandma was in the middle holding the cardboard sleigh she made and Gene was in the back ringing the sleigh bells. They pranced around the room singing. I first met Gene when he was a little boy in Logan. Scott & I were dating & we took Gene & Shannon to the A&W drive in. He was a cute, happy, freckled face boy. He laughed constantly & made us all laugh. Over the years we have enjoyed him in our home at family gatherings & also at Elaine's. He still had that laugh and I can see him with his eyes closed, arms folded & shoulders moving as he enjoyed a good laugh. Elaine has stood by him his whole life. I am glad he is now with his parents...

I am so sorry for the lost of your brother, friend, mate and son. It's unfortunate he died so early. However, Isa 33:24 speaks of a time when "no resident will say: I am sick". May this bring comfort and a hope of seeing your loved one again.

i have many memories of gene he would come over to grandma and grandpa baird and help me and my dad (theron) work on the house or yard but he was always there with us, giving me a hard time i sure enjoyed his personality
