Not sure what to say?

I met Shobo (Frank) as a pre-schooler when he baby sat my brother and I in the CD. I knew him as my Art techaer at Cleveland High, and l knew him as my neighbor on Mercer Island. I became a graphic designer in large part because of his love for Art and the lessons he taught. I've had a life long love of Jazz listening to Brubeck, Stan Getz, Errol Gardner, Cal Tjader and others in his classroom.

We're gonna miss you very much Frank! I remembered when you became the first Asian administrator at Seattle Central and your continuing involvement with students, Community and the Movement. We loved you very much.

Mr. Fujii was such an inspiration and role model to me in high school. Imagine a great basketball coach who was also a caring and thoughtful art teacher, who played jazz music while we did our art work in class. He inspired me look beyond stereotypes of what you could or could not do. Plus, then becoming an architect myself, I knew I had to find a job where I could draw while listening to music, too! Thanks, Mr. Fujii, for inspiring me and many others to lead fulfilling lives!
