I'm so sorry I missed Frank's Final Mission. He was very giving, and did so much so through his "Gathering Of Eagles" Program that he intensely put on during the early 80's. I knew him the most at the Maple Hts. Library sessions. His Hope was to keep Alive The Memory of All he served with in the 8th Air Force. He advocated for All that served around the World. He never forgot his Brother in the Italian Campaign. I just wanted to Thank The Furiga Family for the Gift of Time and Camaraderie....

My dad died Friday. He never claimed to be a hero and was often uncomfortable with the appellation, the “Greatest Generation”. He always said, “We just did what needed to be done. It's what was right.” Hero or not, he was an honorable man who deserves to be honored. This is my attempt.
He was a good man born at a time before cell phones and computers were even dreamed of. Born in 1925 in the hills of Pennsylvania, the son of a...

My beloved husband has gone to be with the Lord. He was my best friend and soul mate for 57 years. My heart aches with the loss of him. But I am reminded, "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away," (Rev. 21:4).
I love you my sweetheart,

Frank and Terri Furiga, August 2013
On behalf of my mother and sisters and our families, thank you to all have expressed condolences electronically, by phone and in person. Dad, you were one of a kind, truly one of the "greats" in the "greatest generation." You are in the heavens now, at an altitude that suits your mark on this Earth and our family!
