Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Directors - Tyler Obituary

Services for Frank Haley, 87, of Whitehouse, TX, will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 10:00AM at Jackson’s Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home with Pastor Sherman Mayfield officiating.


Burial will follow at Whitehouse Cemetery in Whitehouse TX under the direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home and Dr. Tim Brown officiating the graveside services.


Frank passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024 at The East Texas Hospice Center in Tyler, TX.


Frank was born September 18, 1936 in Kilbourne, LA to Sandy and Gladys Haley.


Frank was married to Melva Jean Haley for 42 Years.  After serving in the Armed Forces for 6 years, Frank worked for Kerr McGee Potash Mines in Carlsbad NM for 15 years and then moved to Kilbourne, LA to work with his brothers in the family painting business.  In 1976, he then started a career in the oil business where he worked in trucking and safety until he retired.   Frank loved his family and friends very much and enjoyed being outside working in the yard, cheering for the Rangers and Cowboys and cooking.


Frank was preceded in death by his dad Sandy Haley, his mom Gladys Haley, his brother William “Sonny” Haley, his brother Don Haley, his sister Mercede Williams, his sister Maxine Philley, his sister Excede Calhoun, and his sister Sybil Helms.


Frank is survived by his wife Melva of Whitehouse, TX , son Rob Haley and daughter in law Sherrie Haley of Rowlett, TX, daughter Diana Chavers and son in law Glen Chavers of Bon Aqua, TN and daughter Julie Beasley and son in law Kevin Beasley of Whitehouse, TX. grandchildren Annie Raye Chavers of St Cloud, FL, Erica Haley of Fort Worth, TX, Cameron Haley and wife Kourtney Haley of Fate, TX, Branden Beasley of Whitehouse, TX, Blake Beasley of Whitehouse, TX and Macie Beasley of Whitehouse, TX, great grandchildren, Porter Haley, Gunner Beasley, Creede Haley, Kinsley Beasley and Oaklen Haley and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews that loved him very much.


Pallbearers will be Tommy Pullin, Ronnie Kellum, Marty Haley, Jerry Haley, Jimmy Helms and Rex Calhoun.


Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Helms, Todd Haley and Terry Haley.


Visitation is scheduled from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Wednesday August 10th, 2024 at Jackson’s Burkes Walker Tippit.


If desired, memorials may be made to East Texas Hospice and or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
