Not sure what to say?

Some of my favorite memories at Morgan Ave. Baptist include the solos of Frank Ing. The one that always comes to mind is "Ship Ahoy".
His love for Mary Ann was always evident in their conversations and was an inspiration to me.
He was one of the inspirations to me in my Christian life.

Not only was Frank Ing a gentle, intelligent, compassionate musician; he was also possessed of a marvelous sense of humor. I have a vivid memory of him as the bride in a "woman-less" wedding at one of the larger social times. Jackie had one class with him at the university, and his graceful directing plus a huge heart were such a blessing. We, too, recall "Ship Ahoy" and other of his songs of worship. May the Lord comfort you in this time of separation.

Dear Precious Ing Family,

You were such a loving fragrance of Jesus Christ to me in my youthful years at Morgan Avenue and UCC. I don't think of those years without remembering the influence your family had on my life as church music director, piano teacher, university choir director, mentors and friends.

It was a joy to see you many years ago at your 50th wedding anniversary, I believe.

Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all as you...

Frank Ing was a fine and wonderful example of a truly Christian man. He, also, sang at our wedding in 1961, with his sweet wife, Mary Nell, at the piano. I always enjoyed the messages in his solos at MABC, but especially loved "It is Well with My Soul". The words are inspiring. We are grateful that we knew him and his family in our great days at MABC. We will never forget Frank and his "voice"! Jimmy and Carolyn Glenn

Patty and I both sang in the choir at MABC with Frank Ing.
I remember that he started a men's (brotherhood) choir. We had lots of fun. Frank's dry quiet humor was priceless and his deep baritone voice was matchless.
I can still hear him singing some of those songs that others have mentioned as their favorites.
I think what I remember most though was the absolute love he radiated for his wife, Mary Nell. There was never any doubt about their deep devotion to one another....

Even though I was a young child, I remember Mr. Ing singing "Ship Ahoy." I was always excited when Mr. Ing would pull out his little black book. I knew that we would be blessed with a beautiful hymn that day.
Blessings to you and your family,Mary Nell.

Mr. Ing was my mentor, my teacher, and my friend. He taught me in the classroom and by the faithful life that he lived. He sang at our wedding in 1953. Mary Nell, you and Frank gave us a wonderful example of love and caring. We are forever blessed to have known him. Frank was a true instrument of God's grace to all of us.

What wonderful memories I have of a great Christian man. I sang in the Church Choir and in the choir at UCC under Frank Ing's direction. He also sang at my wedding in 1948. My thoughts and prayers go out to Mary Nell and all the children. Flora Boren

Only good thoughts and memories come to mind when I remember Frank Ing.

What a gracious, Christian man. He taught me so much about music and life. He gave me one of the first opportunities to serve as a Miniater of Music in a Baptist Church (while at Morgan Ave). I shall never forget his testimony through his life and the songs he sang which always had such honest and sincere meaning.

God bless and keep you Mary Nell.

Love, Bob and Betty Weissinger
