Jake was my brother from another mother and my best friend from childhood and high school. His entire family was mine. We played baseball, basketball, football, and track. He was a scholar and athlete, a Christian, and my very best friend. God bless Carol his son Jonathan, his baby sister Debbie and the associate family and friends, and also to the McBride High School family as well.
I will see you in heaven buddy.

Gone From My Sight

I am standing upon the seashore.

A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength. I stand and watch her until, at length, she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then some at my side says: There, she is gone!

Gone where?

Gone from my sight.
