A belated note of sympathy as we recently learned of Dr. Klingberg's passing. My strong and fond memories of First Presbyterian Sundays in Carbondale always include the smiling face and warm greetings of Frank. He was a friend and inspiration to all students, young and old!

Our deepest sympathy for your loss. David and I were so sorry to hear of Frank's passing. I am reminded of the warm welcome we received from him when we joined the Political Science Department and the warm welcome from both of you upon joining First Presbyterian. The kindness and generousity you both have shown to those around you is a remarkable gift to us all. Please know that David and I are thinking of and praying for you.

To Lee Klingberg: Although at a distance, I want to express my heartfelt sympathy to you in your sorrow at Frank's passing and express the hope I share with you of eternal life. Frank brought significant scholarship, dignity, collegiality and concern for others near and far into his exemplary performance as a professor and mentor to his colleagues and students. Take comfort that he is at peace.

I was Dr. Klingberg's student in the early 1980s. I am now a political science professor. I always believed his approach to political science influenced me. I am pleased to read so many kind postings.
