As a fellow native New Havener, I began to see more of Frank after graduation than before,and we would spend time — and have fun — recalling together the New Haven that we had known in the 1930s and 1940s, a far different city from the present one, and even from the one we knew as undergrads.
Frank loved New Haven, as I did (and do) for the ambience it summoned up from the days of our youth.
