I was so sad to hear of your Father's passing. You were his pride and joy, and he talked of you all the time. Even though it has been some time since I last spoke with Homer, he always praised you all, and was very proud of you.........He was a Good man, and I was happy to have known him, and have him for a friend at that time in my life. People come in our lives for a reason, and I am glad that our paths crossed, if only for a short while, if for no other...

Homer was one of my favorite people. A big teddy bear, I always called him. I am so glad I got to see and hug him this last time he was home a couple months ago. I can still see him setting in the ticket booth at the Charleston Speedway. We will miss his big smile.
