DOHERTY FUNERAL SERVICE Obituary

Martelli, Frank E., Sr--83, A resident of Somerville for most of his life died on February 25, 2017.

Frank was the beloved husband of Jean (Scherban) Martelli and the loving father of Frank Martelli Jr. and his wife Gayla, Michael Martelli and his wife Peggie, Marilyn Goveia and her husband Philip and Maria Martelli. Frank was also the brother of Isabel Chiera and the late Dominic and Nicholas Martelli, the son-in-law of Georgia Scherban and brother-in-law of Joyce Scherban, Michele and Jim Rockwell. He was also the cherished grandfather of Mark, Mannie, Christine, Ashley, Nadine, Anthony and Bruce.

The funeral procession was held from the George L. Doherty funeral Home, 855 Broadway (Powder House Sq) in Somerville on Wednesday morning, March 1, 2017, at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church in Somerville at 10 o'clock. Relatives and friends were invited. Calling hours were held on Tuesday, February 28, from 4-8 p.m. Interment was at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.
