To the Frank Mathias family….

I was saddened to hear of Frank's passing and wish to extend my deepest sympathy your family.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Frank since our football days at Edison Jr. High. His running abilities were second to none. We ran into each other a few years back and were able to sit for awhile to talk and relive our past events (both good and bad) and talk about our families. Frank will always be the running back I compare all others...

To the family of Frank Mathis, Frank will always be remembered as an excellent athelete and good person. ~ The first graduating class of Harrisburg High, 1972

I am truly sadden by the passing of Frank. Frank and I were friends since Lincoln Elementary School, thru Edison Jr. High School and finally John Harris/Harrisburg High. I remember when me, Duke Hurst and Frank took our SAT test together and then rode the bus to Williamsport for the football game. We had donuts from Reed's Bakery and bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches! Although it was over 30 years ago, I remember it like it was yesterday! Needless to say, Frank had a great game that day.

Since the 4th grade, we were thick as mud. We lost touch over the years but I never forgot the closeness we had as good friends.

I want to take this time to give my deepest sympathy to the Mathis Family and embrace and celebrate his life. Be happy for him for he now is...
