REVEREND FRANK LEWIS MCRAE

Thoughts and prayers to all in this time of loss and grief.

I was lucky enough to have known Reverend McRae. He came over to my house when my children were very young, they are now in their 30s. He sat and talked to me and gave me encouragement that I was a better person than I was thinking that I was at the time and he helped me open my eyes and gave me hope. I will always remember what a blessing he was to me. RIP Reverend. You were very loved.

His courage, his willingness to live his faith and his commitment to challenge and encourage the rest of us to live our faiths was so important to this community and is an incredible legacy to us all. Dear Becky ~ Doug and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. What a beautiful tribute to his life and his caring for others in so many ways. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Frank was my dear friend with a great sense of humor. On my first day as the soprano soloist at St.Johns he said "It's a pleasure to meet you, your reputation precedes you." I said thank you and he said " I hear you are a great singer too"!!! Ha, He gave me much inspiration in his sermons.

Becky, I feel privileged to have known him and cared about him. The Memphis Camera Club was fortunate to have him as a member and friend. We will greatly miss him - his humor and congeniality and his perfect blessings at our functions when he was able to attend. May you find peace and comfort from your memories.

Becky, Sid and I are so sorry to learn of your loss. I was so impressed to learn about all the wonderful things he did I his life. What a tremendous legacy! We well be praying for you and your family. So sorry that you are going through this difficult time. Ed
