Not sure what to say?

a few memories... I had Frank for just one year of Russian at Colby College in 1983. He was so much fun, so full of life. A great teacher, and when he laughed, which he did often, you could see all the gold in his teeth! He rented his lovely attic apartment in Waterville Maine to my girlfriend and I at a ridiculously cheap price and was always bringing food up to us that he had made. Such a colorful and kind and generous character. His spirit will always be very much alive in me.

I had briefly known Frank when he was a professor at Middlebury in the summer Russian school, and I was a grad student. Even though I did not have him as a teacher, I enjoyed running with him in the hills after classes, and actually learned a lot on the side speaking Russian with him! I admired & respected him as we all did, and marveled at his Russian. RIP, dorogoy Frank! Sincerely, Mr. Robert Komar
(Retired) Russian/German teacher, North Bergen HS, N.J.

Sad to hear of the passing of a great class mate from high school. you were always a pleasant person to be with and lots of fun and a great sense of humor. I will always remember your captivating smile. RIP my brother and keep all the angels in awe with your sweet ways.

Frank will be missed, may he R.I.P and may memories and prayers comfort grieving family and friends.

He looked you in the eye in the friendliest way. A fine man and wonderful teacher. RIP, Frank!

Frank was an original. He found joy in his work and brought much joy and excitement to others. And he always had for his friends an off-cololor joke. What a loss!

So sad to learn of Frank's passing. We have so many wonderful memories of him. Elizabeth Gorky, Nina Gorky Shapiro.
