I feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Frank a few years ago. He was dedicated to his booksellers and his publishers. Frank was also a lot of fun to be with. My sympathies go out to his family and to his longtime coworker Laura Compton. Too soon, too soon.

I am deeply saddened to hear this news. Frank was my bookselling godfather and has left an indelible stamp on my life, both as a mentor and as a friend. I will miss him terribly. I will hold you all in my heart and prayers and send my deepest sympathy.
