Not sure what to say?

Dear Sandy and Family: Oh, so many wonderful memories of Frank come to mind while remembering him. We first met him when he and Dick were an intern/resident at Bronson in 1965. When we returned to Kazoo our friendship was renewed and grew over the years. I was privileged to work with him at RSC for many years years and witness his quiet and boundless generosity to many. His gifted talent as a plastic surgeon was displayed everyday. He touched many lives and gave tirelessly of himself in so...

I knew and worked with Dr. Newman in the E.R. at Bronson "back in the day". He was funny, sarcastic, and passionately dedicated to his patients. He could be intimidating and fierce, but it was because of his quest for the best for his patients. I loved working with him! He was one of a kind and his talent was amazing. Heartfelt sympathy to his family and loved ones.

Sandra and Family, I worked with your husband and father in the Bronson OR. He was a man who gave generously and tirelessly to those he serve. He was loved and will be missed by all in this community. You have much to be proud of. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to you all. May God grant you peace at this time.

I knew Doc for 15 years as my coach, mentor, and friend. He inspired me in so many ways and greatly influenced my path in becoming a coach. I rejoice in memory of the time I spent with Doc and the laughs we shared.

Doc was my diving coach for 11 years. He taught me more than how to jump off a board. Doc was a giver, with a big heart and a compassion to teach others. I am forever grateful to him for teaching me the love of diving and being my mentor. It is because of Doc I became a diving coach. God bless

Doc was a truly remarkable man that did as much as possible to help others. He gave of himself to all who needed him showing his passion for people in all he did. I appreciated my times with him through the sport of diving. I respected his wisdom and experience in so many aspects of life. He was a truly special man who touched the lives of so many and he will be remembered fondly. My sympathy and compassion are with you and your family Sandy.

I loved working with Dr. Newman in the Burn Unit. He was always patient and loved to teach. My condolences to the entire family. He will be truly missed.

I dove for Doc for 5 years when I was in high school and college, and then I worked with him later on as a coach for the West Michigan Diving Association. As a life-long athlete, I've had many coaches throughout the years - but none who helped my career along as much as Doc. He took me from a decent conference area diver and expanded my abilities as well as my mindset and helped me go on to compete at the state, regional, zone, and NCAA level. It was through his mentoring that I decided to...

My fondest memory of Dr. Newman was his purchase of my reserve grand champion steer at the Kalamazoo County Fair around 1976. At the time, I was only 16 and had been raising two steers each year through 4H to save money for college while learning something fun. I was humbled to learn Dr. & Mrs. Newman were willing to support the youth of our community in such a down-to-earth fashion. That was an era BEFORE eating local, organic and green was in our vocabularies. The role modeling of...
