Whitey's passing is a huge loss to his many friends in northeast Ohio. I met him through my late husband, Herbie Bernsteen; and when the two of them were ever together, it was a real "hoot." You just never knew what opinions he would espouse (spelling?); but you just never took him too seriously...not seriously at all, in fact. There will never be another like Francis X Nugent. I will miss him greatly.

Uncle Whitey was my Godftather and as everyone knows - quite a character. Fun, tough and big, big heart! I'll always remember him singing Oh Danny Boy whenever he would greet me. Rest In Peace Uncle Whitey. You are missed.

An all-around witty, fun guy, Whitey was opinionated and never hesitated to "discuss" his viewpoint with a great deal of zeal at the Mayfield Heights Republican Club. We will miss him (and his ever-present beverage of choice)! Our condolences to his family and friends.
