Frank M. Plutowski

Age 92. Of Landrum, SC. Died Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at his home. Born in Briggsville, Wisconsin, he later moved to Milwaukee where he married his wife of 53 years, Florence, who died in 1988. In Milwaukee, Mr. Plutowski operated a greenhouse at 938 West Layton Avenue with his son Ronald for 37 years.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Hendersonville, NC.

Surviving is his son Ronald Plutowski and his wife Shirley Marie Plutowski of Hendersonville; four granddaughters Sandy Summey and her husband Jack of Hendersonville, Patty Vichich and her husband Mike of Saukville, Wisconsin, Sue Bender and her husband Bill of Daphne, Alabama, and Katy Plutowski of Mobile, Alabama; six great-grandchildren Tiffany Turknett, Mary Beth Summey and Sarah Summey all of Hendersonville, Michael Vichich, Jonathan Vichich and Morgan Vichich all of Saukville, Wisconsin; one great-great granddaughter Julianna Turknett of Hendersonville; one step-grandson Bobby Eubanks and his wife Susan of Flat Rock; and two step-great grandchildren Ethan and Anna Eubanks of Flat Rock.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00am on Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. The Reverends John C. Aurilia and Dean Cesa will officiate. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum of Shepherd Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mike Vichich, Michael Vichich, Jonathan Vichich, Jack Summey, Bill Bender, Peewee Hamilton, and Bobby Eubanks.

The family will receive friends from 7:00pm until 8:30pm Tuesday at Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors and at other times will be at the home of his son at 215 Rugby Cove Lane in Hendersonville.
