Frank Louis Reusché

Frank offered me my first 'real' job while I was still in high school. He was a wonderful mentor who had the courage and insight to believe in me. He was a patient teacher and his lessons remain with me today, 30 years later. I remember fondly our trip to the SGAA convention in Orlando and the misadventures of business travel we laughed about for a long time after. I first met Frank at the 1978 Summer Conference of the Stained Glass Association of America in Minneapolis. Frank was a wonderful man and one of the most helpful men in the Stained Glass industry. He was extremely articulate and a very elegant man. My wife and I have great memories of Frank and our sympathies to his family.

Some years ago I was fortunate to get to know Frank at the SGAA summer conferences. He was good friends with the late Dorothy Maddy and others who used Reusche glass paints. Few realize his long time involvement with stained glass and glass painting, and that he was an honorary member of SGAA. My condolances to his family.
