Dr. Frank H. T. Rhodes

I am continually awestruck by Professor Rhodes achievements and memories of his teaching in Swansea UK. Thank you so much for the memory of receiving me on my unannounced visit to Cornell many years ago.

An unbelievably gifted and charismatic lecturer. I regard my attendances at his lectures as unforgettable events. I once visited Cornell to lecture and visited his office with no invitation only to be warmly welcomed and talk about his time in Swansea for over 20min.

Hi. Prof Rhodes taught me In Geology at Swansea University during 1962-4. I will never forget his lectures which were inspirational. Many years later, I was lecturing in Cornell University and decided just to find the Presidents Office to say hello. I waited just 20 min and he welcomed me into his office although he had no idea who I was! I never forgot this kindness and the lesson that t taught me. I have always treasured my memories of him.
