Frank taught me a lot about kindness, the human side of journalism and how to write with respect for others who faced difficulties in their lives. I wish I had followed his advice more often, but sometimes my own life´s difficulties got the better of me. Peace and thanks to you Frank.

I have fond memories of Frank during my time at the Binghamton Sun-Bulletin with hiim as sports editor. He was as kind and decent and wise a man as I ever knew. He nurtured us impetuous young writers on a small staff with patience and guidance. I remember he was a voracious (his word, he always gave us vocabulary words) reader and a wordsmith. The "BEST" of best friends one could possibly have. Oh my! I was so blessed with the friendship of Frank from the early years at St. Francis elementary. To say I am deeply saddened doesn't truly come close. Thank you Frank ! Love you.... "PEACE"
