Not sure what to say?

I woke up this morning thinking of something Frank told me when I studied with him at SVA. He said paintings are never finished until you sell them and are denied further access. I decided to look him up only to discover God had come to the studio and taken him home. Condolences to the family.

I studied with Frank in the early 1970´s my Junior year at SVA and gave me new compass directions to venture into and experience . I was doing small watercolors that he was amused by & liking them presented collective not individually...eye opener as their were 28 images...showing new & different perspectives was his strength as mentor .

My sincere, sympathies, Linda, I just found this out, Trust you are ok, and my condolences may break the ice for us, again sorry for your loss. Peace and Love Francine!

Frank was my first cousin. My father and Frank’s Mother were siblings. I remember as a teenager having a crush on Frank. He was about 10 years older than me! I went to his studio in the Village and had such a great time Visiting from Boston. RIP Frank

Thank you for your knowledge and friendship. RIP

Great art professor who became a wonderful friend. RIP, Frank, or maybe shake up the afterlife a bit.

There are not many left who remember the first show at The American Gallery...Wally Reiss and Frank Roth...a wonderful show, two terrific artists. I haven't seen or heard from Frank since the late 1960s (when I was fortunate enough to publish a print of his) but his work (HOMMAGE TO DEKOONING) hangs in my home and gives constant delight. My sympathies to Frank's family and friends. A fine artist and...many years ago....a good friend.
