Not sure what to say?

My dear condolences to Mr. Scardilli's family on his passing. He was a great mentor when I worked for him at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, where he served as the Senior Staff Counsel for many years. He mentored many young and aspiring attorneys. He often said call me "Uncle Frank." We kept in touch over the years. After I graduated law school, he sponsored my application to the federal courts. Mr. Scardilli appeared for my swearing in ceremony at the U.S. District Court. I...

You are sorely missed and dearly loved. ♥

Frank was an extraordinary person. I met him when I became Director of Human Respurces at the Court of Appeals. He was 86 and he enriched my life with stories of his childhood. I feel honored to have known him. He was a bright light. Heaven has gained a kind and charming angel. Rest In Peace my friend.

Caro Frank,
Five months have passed since your death, but I have just had the news in the last few days.

Dear Sicilian American friend,
I remember when, after the war, we met at the Rome University, where you had a scholarship from the American Legion. It was my last year of Law before graduating. We soon became friends and since then we met again in Rome throughout our lives. The last time my wife and I met you and Josephine in New York. Our friendship has been warm and...

I had the privilege of working as Frank's assistant at the court of appeals from 1994-1997. He was a kind man and a generous mentor. He will be missed.

My dear sweet Uncle Frank. Although I was very young and lived far away. I always enjoyed seeing you at Grandma and Grandpa's. You always were kind and soft spoken. I also loved to watch you eat until most of us would explode at our house! You will be dearly missed. Love you and Rest In Peace my dear Uncle.

Beloved uncle, brother, friend and mentor.
Caro Zio,
I'll miss your wonderful insights and perspective on everything from politics to our Italian heritage. More than anything I'll miss your warmth and devotion to your loved ones. In spite of all your incredible professional achievements,
"La famiglia" was always the most cherished part of your life and you are cherished in return. There will always be a place for you at the dinner table on Sunday afternoon.
Tante cose belle....
