I had the distinct honor of serving under CMDR Severance both aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, and then later at FTC NorVa. Without a doubt, the finest officer I ever worked for. I literally owe my life to him. The world is richer for his having been here and poorer for his having passed. Rest in Peace Sailor. We have the watch.

I had the pleasure of being stationed with the good Commander and he was a professional who I still fondly remember almost thirty years later. Fair Winds and Following Seas.

Frank, was a great mentor, co-worker and friend. He was "that" guy. Always willing to stop what he was doing to help others. He will be missed. God bless you Frank, rest in peace.
