I am sorry for your loss. For many years I had a great working relationship with Frank at City Hall. Since then I always was glad to talk to him at our golf outings. He always told me about his work with the kids and how much he enjoyed that. From reading these entries it was clearly mutual. He will be missed.

For more than 10 years I would pass Mr. Smith when I drove my girls to school at St. Paul the Apostle. I have actually only spoken to him once, but feel like I know him so well. He seemed like a quiet, gentle and relaxed man--always on time. I will think of him each morning and especially each September when school starts (and I believe his birthday month, too). Our kids were saddened to hear of his passing. We all are. You are in our prayers. Thank you for all the safe mornings at...

We loved Mr. Smith at St. Paul School! He was the kindest of gentleman with a great sense of humor. He knew the students that crossed Burton by name, and always asked about those who were missing. He really kept an eye on our students! I miss him and his friendly wave as I turned the corner from Woodland onto Burton each morning. Sometimes I would be running late and he would look at me and tap his watch! I loved it!
My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I heard today of Mr. Smith passing. He will be sadly missed by the St. Paul's. Both of my kids Christopher and Nicco were safeties at burton street. Christopher is a junior at Catholic Central at and Nicco 7th at SPA. They loved your Husband/Dad. HE was kind and gentle. When I saw him at D&W getting donuts He always would ask about Christopher. HE IS GREATLY LOVED. HE AND YOUR FAMILY WILL BE IN OUR HEARTS AND PRAYERS. WITH LOVE AND RESPECT. The Mull's

Frank was a wonderful man and he will be missed greatly at Sherwood Park Elementary. I am sad that I missed the service to express to his family how valuable he has been at school. Sincere condolences from Sherwood Park Parent Involvement Team (PIT Crew).

"Mr. Smith" was loved by all here at St. Paul the Apostle School. He was kind, gentle and always ready to meet the kids with a smile. He was a wonderful person and we will miss him very much. God's blessings to all his family.

I just now learned of Mr. Smith's passing and feel so sad that I missed this dedicated man's Memorial Service. It is so rare to meet such a kind and generous person who asked so little and gave so, so much to our community. Love is patient, love is kind - and that is who our kids who needed to cross Burton saw day after day in the beautiful face of Mr. Smith. No one will ever do his job as well because to him it was not a job; it was a vocation - a calling. We so love Mr. Smith. Now he will...

Mr. Smith was a kind and compassionate man. He was the crossing guard at St. Paul the Apostle School. He took the time to know each of the children's names and their teachers. We will deeply miss him. We appreciate his service to our school.
