Not sure what to say?

Liz, I was so sad to hear of Woody's death last month. While our friendship was relatively recent, I always felt comfortable around Woody because he was just that kind of person: warm, humorous and caring.

I hope this is not too impersonal but when Leigh asked me to find the obiturary so she could send something, I found this guest book. She was saddened as well and we want you and Drew to know we are thinking of you.

Bowman is out of the country but we emailed him and I could...

liz, bob and i just heard about woody last night. we had been out of town. we have so many fond memories of him from medical school.it is a shame that we lived in the same town and did not keep in touch more. i cannot imagine what you and drew must be going through. know that you both are in our thoughts and prayers. if there is anything we can do, please contact us.

Dear Liz, I am so saddened to hear the news of Woody's death. I pray that you and Drew are receiving some consolation from the many people, like me, who always remember Woody with a smile, even though I have not seen him for many years ( I was in his medical school class). He was a wonderful man, making you laugh at the bleakest times, gentle and compassionate, and the best friend you could ask for. I'm sure all are laughing in heaven with him now! Praying for you and yours that God grants...

Liz, I just heard about Woody. I don't know if you remember me but I knew Woody at Alabama and at medical school. The world won't be as cheerful without him.

Smyth Family,

Seems like half of the Lambda Chis at Alabama in the mid-late 70s were from Gadsden (my hometown) so I knew Woody through them. What a fine person he was. So sorry to hear of his passing. You will be in our thougths and prayers.

From Woody's early childhood years to his adult years, I watched him "grow up" in the town of Foley. Memories of Woody being active in the Foley United Methodist Church from toddler to high school graduation will always be cherished by me. He will be greatly missed.
