Not sure what to say?

My mother used to drive Sailor and Mosconi around. Sailor was my good friend. He was a role model and mentor to his pool students. He was one of the best of his generation. He was modest and humble despite his skill. He was an elegant crafter of pool cues. I still have a hustler cue he made for my mother, Julie Lunsford . Sailor was an expert on Lincoln and had a fine collection of civil war and Lincoln memorabilia. Sailor had a great sense of dry humor and an affinity for Frank...

Sailor introduced me to billiards and the 14-1game. I used to sit at the back table and watch Steve Mizerak, Dallas West and others on Friday nights when they might show up. I was a young Black kid and Sailor recognized my love of the game and encouraged me.

Rest In Peace. Taught me 14:1 when I was a teenager back in the early 70's. Helped me achieve 100 ball status.

Sailor will be missed very much. I was blessed and fortunate to meet Sailor a couple of years ago, in Illinois. He was very nice and shared some amazing thoughts and wisdom about the game. He will be missed. Rest in Peace. Keeping his family in my thoughts and prayers.

Sailor gave Gary Fiedler and myself jobs racking balls at the pool hall when we were in our early teens. He taught us more than just how to play pool, but how to become men. Gary and I went into the Army, he was killed in Vietnam. God rest your soul Sailor.

My deepest sympathies to the Stellman family.

I'm so sorry to hear of Sailors passing. He made my pool cue in 1986 and I still have it. Thanks Sailor for all of the great sticks you made. RIP

My condolences go to the family of Mr Stellmen
Rest in peace.
