A Funeral Mass for Frank J. Stransky, Sr., 84, of Needville, will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, December 24, 2012 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville with Father Joseph Phan officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a rosary/wake service being held at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg. Frank was born August 30, 1928 in Needville to Joe Stransky and Mary Janak Stransky. He served our country proudly in the U.S. Army from 1950 - 1952 during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #350 in Needville. He passed away December 21, 2012 in Richmond. Frank is preceded in death by his wife, Vlasta A. Stransky; parents, Joe and Mary Stransky; and a brother, O. J. Stransky. He is survived by his sons, Patrick John Stransky and Frank "Frankie" Joe Stransky, Jr.; grandchildren, Stetson Lewis Stransky and wife, Michelle, Autumn Deña Mejia and husband, Javier, and Haley Leigh Stransky; great grandson, Javier Mejia, Jr.; brother, Joe Stransky and wife, Annie; along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
