Dr. Frank L. Yonan

It is with great regret that I read the passing of Dr. Yonan and we offer our deepest sympathies and our prayers to his family. When I was young and found that I first needed to wear glasss for the rest of my life, my parents took me to see Dr. Yonan. He was a very caring Dr. and had a warm, comfortable office, which you don't find these days. Had the pleasure of meeting Frank several years ago when he was introduced to the crowd at a Park Ridge Band concert on the 4th of July. Because of men like Frank our country is free today. It was a thrill to be able to shake his hand.God bless Frank,his family and the America he served so well.

I am the daughter of Jacques V. Merrifield and have heard many stories of the horrors endured by all the men in Bataan. I share your grief, having lost my father. I feel that these brave, loving men have finally achieved a much-deserved place with God. I know Dr. Yonan will be missed.

Dr Yonan attended our Bataan Day annual memorial service in Maywood. He received the Philippine Liberation Medal at our Bataan Day 1999 memorial service.
