Bradley's Funeral Home & Crematory - Marion Obituary

Marion, VA

Franklin Delano Bogle Jr., known by all who knew him as "Junior," passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024, surrounded by love.

Junior was one of a kind. He had a heart of gold, could make anyone laugh, and always wore a smile. He was loved by many and never met a stranger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching westerns. He could often be found cheering for his grandchildren at their sporting events, never missing a game. He was a fan of Warrior baseball, golf, and basketball.

A devoted family man, Junior would do anything for his loved ones, no matter how big or small the task. He was always ready to drop everything to help anyone in need, and you could always count on him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frankie and Betty Bogle; his brother, Bobby Bogle; his son-in-law, Luke Teaters; and his father-in-law, Tommie Widener.

Junior is survived by his wife of 48 years, Omajean, the love of his life; his daughter, Heather, and grandchildren, Levi, Lance, and Lily, who were the light of his life; his niece, Kari Bogle, whom he loved as his own; his brothers and best friends, Dennis Bogle (Trish) and Tony Bogle; his sisters, Sharon Rife (Terry) and Muff Hafley (Chip), Edie Croy; his mother-in-law, Peggy Widener; sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathy and James Owens, Rhonda Martin, and Rick Widener; bonus grandchildren Aidan, Abby, and Ally Elliott; a special “sister,” Teresa Hester; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who were like siblings to him, along with numerous friends and extended family.

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Bradley’s Home in Marion with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00-7:30 PM prior to services. Interment will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at West Cemetery.
