Not sure what to say?

JoEllen, I just heard about your father. I worked for him while in high school and college. He taught me many things as I was considering going into pathology. He was a kind, wonderful man to work for and I will always remember him for that. Mary Banner Reck

Dear Cox family,
Dr. Cox hired my father in 1965 to join him as a pathologist at Borgess Hospital. I was born a year later at Borgess. While growing up, I always heard great things about him. A wonderful and warm person. A great doctor and fine administrator. I always wanted to model myself after his an my father's example. It helps motivate me now as I practice pathology. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

To the Franklin Cox family: Your husband, father and grandfather was the Head Pathologist at the Borgess Lab in 1975 when I first went to work there. He always "went to bat" and stood behind any of the Lab Staff no matter what the situation. He always made decisive and wise decisions when asked. The Borgess Laboratory was innovative then and continues to be now, partly due to his influence. You are in my prayers.

Jo Ellen, Christine & Family,

Your father's announcement in the Kalamazoo Gazette brought many memories of a wonderful person, an outstanding physician/teacher, a mentor and a friend. I became acquainted in 1965 as a medical student on an externship at Borgess.
Christine we had a daughter born on the same day as you. Her name is also Christine. Your Mother and my wife were roommates while in the hospital.
May you all take consolation in knowing that the world is a better...

Jo Ellen and family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. The loss of a father and/or mother is never easy. Your father had many accomplishments over the years and it will be those memories that continue.
