Franklin Delano Fisher, 86, of Bangor, PA passed on Tuesday, August 4, 2020
He was born in Bangor on March 2, 1934, son of the late Claude and Victoria Fisher of Bangor.
He was the cherished husband of the late Phyllis Ann Klein Fisher for 57 years.
He was the beloved father of Debra Klein Fisher of Bangor, and the treasured grandfather of Anastasia Layton, also of Bangor, and Erica Layton and her significant other Milt Borger of Delaware Water Gap.
He was a 1952 graduate of Bangor High School. He served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked in the Slate Belt his entire career as an auto and truck mechanic. He was also a founding member of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Company.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.

I did not know you personally, however I would be honored to "Thank You" for your dedicated and honorable Military Service; to OUR country.
At a later date we will meet in that "SPECIAL PLACE", which GOD reserves for ALL of those who have stepped forward to serve their country; in a Military Uniform.
