To the family of Dr. Franklin Harberg, I wanted to let you know that your father or grandfather was a remarkable man. He was such an inspiration to me that as soon as I could talk, I decided I wanted to be a doctor to help others. While the medical field was not the path I chose. In honor of Dr. Harberg, for whom I would not be here today, I dedicated my dissertation to, I attached it below. To anyone of his patients he was a God send, especially as my case was rare. It was an overwhelming sadness for us to hear this news. Over the years we had sent Dr. Harberg...

Dear Harberg Family,
I was saddened to hear of your loss. Dr. Harberg touched many lives. I have maintained few contacts from my years at SJS, but I feel very blessed to have Susan with me in Atlanta.

Greetings,
I want to respectfully offer my deepest sympathy for the loss of Doctor Harberg. He preformed open heart surgery on me when I was about two years old. Without Doctor Harberg's expertise I would never have accomplished some of the things in life that mean so much to me. I grew up with no lasting effects from the surgery and played Baseball and ran track in school. I went on to serve in the military and earned a Bronze Star during operation Desert Storm in the first Gulf war....
