For many years, he chaired the Board of the Alexandria Convention & Visitors Bureau (as it was known for many years); I ran the agency. He always, always went to bat for us, especially if he thought our agency was not being treated fairly. What a multi-talented (including musically!) man he was!! A wonderful gift to our city.
