I worked with Judge Van Antwerpen when he was a Common Pleas Judge in Northampton County and had the pleasure of seeing him socially throughout his appointment to the Federal Court. He was a warm, delightful person who possessed an infectious sense of humor and a genuine interest in the well-being of others. Although he was perceived as a "no nonsense jurist" while on the bench, he demonstrated a genuine compassion for the less fortunate, who for one reason or another entered the criminal...

I was a clerk for Judge Van Antwerpen almost 20 years ago. He had a profound impact on me as a brand new lawyer. One of my favorite memories of the Judge is when he swore me in after I passed the bar exam. My wife and three year old daughter came to the courthouse in Easton for the occasion and the Judge placed my daughter in his chair and let her bang the gavel to her heart's content. He was both a talented jurist and a warm, thoughtful human being. It was a blessing for me to have known...

I worked with Frank when he was Palmer Township solicitor. He provided us with legal support during the writing of our fire department by-laws. He became a good friend and married my wife wife and I. Rest in Peace Frank. Our condolences to the family.
