To Lillian and Family,
My sincerest condolences at our loss of Franklin. Both of you were an inspiration to me growing up in Jersey City and Franklin's great contributions to education and social civility will always be remembered. May you be comforted at this time.

Dear Lillian and Family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of Franklin's passing. You have deepest sympathy at this most difficult time.

To Williams Family,
I am deeply sorry to hear of Mr. Williams' passing. I am a product of Mr. Williams' belief in students. I wanted very much to attend the Academy of St. Aloysius and after being denied, Mr. Williams provided a letter of recommendation on my behalf. That was 28 years ago. I went on to attend Mercer University in Macon, GA and join and serve in the U.S. Navy for over 20 years. Thank you Mr. Franklin for believing in us, you have served your community well and we...

Mrs. Lilian Williams,
You have my condolences, prayers and deepest sympathy after just finding out about the loss of your dear husband, Franklin. His contribution to the Jersey City Public Schools and Community alike, served as a channel for positive change and inspiration. I've always valued his willingness to accept the invitations to my classroom, in the past, during "Black History Month." (Kids first)
You were supportive during the loss of our father, Bishop John Knight: We now...

Dear Mrs. Williams and Family, For some reason news of Mr. Williams' passing did not reach Vi and I until this evening (Monday). We have admired Mr. Williams over the years and the pioneering he did here in Jersey to make a difference. We considered him a friend. We will pray for you and the family.

To Mrs. Lillian Williams and Family: Sending my prayers, deepest sympathy, and condolences during this very difficult time.

Dear Lillian and Family, for 40 plus years Franklin Williams was a catalyst within the Jersey City Public School System. The progress made for so many of us; student staff and the community, were fueled by his intensity to make a significant difference in our lives. Which, by the way, he did very sussessfully. He was the "Jackie Robinson" of education in Jersey City. My condolences to you and the family, thanks for sharing him . Franklin Walker

Dear Mrs. Williams,
Sandy and I send our condolences to you and your family. Mr. Williams made it possible for many educators particularly black males to become administrators. He was a role model for everyone.
You're in our prayers.
Bruce & Sandy Dabney, Hillside, N.J.
