My prayers and deepest condolences to all of Franklyn's children and family. My father Joseph Zumpano served in gunnery with Captain Franklyn Dailey during WWII. Franklyn was my father's captain in Gunnery. They fought together in some of the major battles of WWII, Casablanca, Sicily, Salerno and Anzio as well as the battle of Southern France on the USS Edison. We knew Frank through our Church...St.Catherine´s in Springfield, MA. Several years ago. He was truly a gentleman and a scholar. Frank was respected for his wisdom and advice which he was always ready to share. He will be so missed. "Rest in Peace, Frank for a job well done."
